Hi! I'm Agnes Hjalmarsson,
a Swedish oil painter born in 2002. My work explores identity, culture, and relationships, often inspired by my own life. After studying fine art at Östra Grevie Folkhögskola in 2022, I decided to pursue art on my own and have been a self-taught, full-time artist ever since. From my kitchen studio, I work on various projects, share my process on Instagram and YouTube, and connect with fellow artists.
My portfolio acts as a visual diary, with each piece capturing a meaningful moment. This is especially true in my series To My Muse, inspired by my partner. Through these paintings, I explore love, partnership, and the artist-muse relationship. I believe portraiture is a way to honor the people who shape our lives.
I’ve also created a course where I’ll guide you through my process, sharing tips and insights for creating portraits. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced artist, I’m excited to help you bring your own portraits to life.
